Eastern Volunteers

Eastern Volunteers is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1976 to encourage and increase volunteer participation by residents in the cities of Whitehorse, Maroondah and parts of the Shire of Yarra Ranges.

We provide assistance to people living in these areas through

·        Volunteer assisted transport services

·        Vehicle hire (through the Eastern Transport Register)

·        Volunteer recruitment, training and referral

·        Advocacy and consulting services on volunteering issues

Our volunteer recruitment service gives support and opportunities to volunteers that makes them part of the community, builds their skills and confidence and adds a sense of purpose to their lives. This results in greater productivity and satisfaction in the workplace.

Our transport services are tailored to the needs of clients offering a human touch and dignity. This empowers them and allows them to continue being active in the community while still being able to live independently.

We are known for our focus on catering for people’s needs, our generosity in responding promptly to the requests for assistance received, courteous personal service rendered and our reliability. Our connections are extensive both in the community and through business and government networks.
