A Message From David...

KILSYTH A HUB FOR LOCAL INDUSTRY

Since my election in 2006 I have listened to the needs of our local community. Again and again I heard the same story. Basic services like education, health, police and roads were neglected under the previous government in our community.

Before the 2010 election, I made many commitments on behalf of the Coalition to address these problems. I said that if a Baillieu Government was elected, the neglect of our local area would stop.

On 3rd May 2011, the Baillieu Government delivered its first State Budget and I am delighted to say that we have upheld this commitment at the first opportunity.

I am delivering on all my election commitments, and addressing the issues that were neglected during a decade of Labor.

As part of the 2011/12 State Budget, Maroondah Hospital will get a $22 million extension, Pembroke Secondary College will finally get its second stage of renovation works, and Mooroolbark Police Station will get a $250,000 upgrade.

Information on these and many more projects can be found here.

Again, I am proud to be delivering for our electorate, and will continue to work hard on behalf of our local community.
